17 September 2009 saw a further £5,000 raised for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. As last year, the Charity Golf event was held at Hurlston Hall, Scarisbrick. Sixteen teams teed off, consisting of our professional colleagues and clients. On Friday 19th June Lynda Gillibrand walked 13 Miles in the aid of St Rocco's Hospice and raised £500.00!! We are now informed that the blister's have healed.
Kevin Gillibrand recently rolled his sleeves up and raised £172.00 for his local church, washing cars...in the pouring rain!!
Not only do we sponsor this girls under15's team, Paul Bocking helped raise £13,000 to...........how did Kevin put it ...."Send the rich kids of Formby to New York" This was a once in a life time opportunity for the team to play against 4 American teams,of which they drew 2, won 1 and lost 1(that one was due to the jet lag.......that's their excuse and they are sticking with it)
