Hi luke,
As we are sure you will appreciate, it has been a very difficult
month. On behalf of Neil’s family and all of us here at Fraser Wealth
Management, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our
clients and professional colleagues for their kind condolences, sympathy
and best wishes.
We are still coming to terms with the situation. We would request that you
please bear with us in the very short term, as we review and reorganise in
the coming weeks.
One of the immediate steps taken has been to recruit an old colleague to
help us ‘run’ the business, in order that Paul can dedicate
more time to client based work. Therefore, we would like to extend a huge
welcome to our new Managing Director, Iain Mackie.
We have known and worked with Iain for over 16 years. Iain brings with him
a depth of knowledge, organisational skills and analytical expertise that
will be very important in helping us to continue to deliver a high level of
service to our clients. We look forward to introducing you to him
personally in due course.
As always, thank you for your continuing support of Fraser Wealth
Management.

Best Wishes,
From all at Fraser Wealth Management

June Market Commentary
A common theme in each market commentary
introduction over the past few months has been 'continued economic uncertainty';
this month is no exception, nor can we see that there will be any likely
change in the months ahead.

Fraser news
Lesley would like to thank all of you
that visited her justgiving page and donated so vociferously. She walked
the walk in aid of Cancer Research UK at her hometown
of yesteryear in Sotogrande, Spain. This is an
event that Lesley founded seven years ago and to date they have raised in
excess of £85,000 for cancer research. In true Mrs Beattie style she
managed to talk her way round the 13 mile course and finished in just under
three hours. She returned last week, brown, bitten by mosquitos and hoarse!

Q&A on NEST
Basically, it means that all companies who aren't
exempt will have to offer staff a company pension scheme. It is a new
scheme aimed at increasing the level of retirement saving in the UK by requiring
both employers and employees to contribute to a pension scheme. Employers
may be exempt if they already contribute to a pension scheme for employees
at a level at least equivalent to the NEST requirements. It used to be
called the Personal Accounts Pension Scheme.

When life means life
Some people object to insurance on the
principle that it may not provide any tangible benefits: an insurance
policy only pays out if the event occurs that it’s designed to protect
against.
