Hi luke,
Welcome to Spring, light nights, the sound of lawn-mowers,
holiday brochures, new born lambs and a new Tax Year.
We are delighted to announce, as we close our books on our 7th Year of
Trading, that this has been our most successful year to date. We want
to thank all our clients, professional connections and staff for supporting
us throughout. We have a very clear aim, to keep our clients as the
central focus of all our business decisions and to continually strive to
improve our service standards and communications. We would like to ask
all of you to provide us with any suggestions or feedback (no matter how
small or nit-picking!) that you may feel would enhance our proposition.
Thank you once more for your continued support and here’s to the next 7 years!
Best Wishes,
From all at Fraser Wealth Management

April Market Commentary
Events such as
the Japanese earthquake and subsequent nuclear disaster, unrest in the Middle East and sovereign
debt problems in the eurozone are more than challenging any small steps to
economic recovery.
The markets have reacted with some resilience considering
the terrible events in Japan over the
last month. Perhaps now is the time that markets are looking to move
positively and have become almost numb to the overwhelming negative
newsflow of the last couple of years.

Pension Death Benefit Changes
Information from Her Majesty’s Revenue
and Customs (HMRC) signals that there will be a number of significant
changes in the pension death benefit rules from April 2011.
The main changes after April 2011, concern three aspects: what pension
benefits can be passed on at death, what the tax charges may be and what
the implications are for Inheritance Tax liability. The last major
revisions to the HMRC Pension Death Benefit rules were made in April 2006.

Raising Vital Funds for Local
Charity
During 2011, we
at Frasers will be actively looking to help, promote and donate to a number
of local charities.
The Fraser Wealth Management Golf Day (to be held in September) will raise
funds and awareness for a wonderful local Charity that is particularly
topical in 2011/2012 – The John Hulley Liverpool Olympic Festival
spearheaded by local charity, Liverpool Heartbeat. It is a little
known fact that John Hulley established the Liverpool Olympic Festival in
1862 and the first National Olympic Games in London in 1866. The
visionary foresight of Hulley and two friends inspired Coubertin to
organise what has long been considered the “first modern day Olympic games”
in Athens, Greece in 1896.
Liverpool Heartbeat wishes to build on Liverpool’s rich Olympic history
with the creation of several events providing a breadth of diversity that
will appeal to all, Triathlon, Across MerseyAquathon, Street Dance Festival
and Equestrian Event to name but a few.
The core aim of the Charity is to promote healthy lives and healthy
lifestyles in our children, an aim that we wholeheartedly
endorse.
For more information on the events and the Charity please visit: www.liverpoolheartbeat.com.
We will keep you appraised of our other local Charities over the coming
months.
